We are a network of Baptist churches in the Sacramento region encouraging and strengthening churches and leaders in fulfilling the Great Commission in our local setting and beyond. Since the SRBN is not a church, we assist our member churches to do their work by networking together to reach and serve a growing and diverse urban community of more than two million people across four counties.

Since August 8 dozens of CSBC's 3,000 trained volunteers have served in both Northen and Southern California. Teams have been assisting victims of the August 24 earthquake centered in Ameican Canyon near Napa, providing 1,500 meals and cleanup of damaged property. Volunteers also have assisted victims of wild fires burning throughout the sate, including the Courtney Fire near Oakhurst, the King Fire near Sacramento and the Boles Fire in Siskiyou County. CSBC Disaster Relief has provided kitchen units as well as laundry and shower services for victims. The volunteers also served hundreds of meals for children and youth attending STRAM camp. Disaster Relief contributions are used to underwrite CSBC Disaster Relief Ministries response to natural disasters (hurricanes, tornados, floods, fires, etc.) that occur in California, nationwide or in mission partnership countries. The response services include, but are not limited to, the preparation of hot meals for disaster victims who are without basic utility services, cleanup of homes, recovery assistance to victims without insurance resources, and transportation for vounteers to affected areas.
