Zong Moa is the Pastor of Grace River City Church.  I asked him to share what the Lord is doing in his church during these times.  Read his response and be encouraged in your focus on Christ as He leads us through these challenging circumstances!

It’s been challenging for Grace River City Church. Our hearts yearn to come together to hear the voices of praise and worship to our Lord and to be in the current trenches together in-person. We are thankful that God provides an alternate avenue of worship and fellowship through the internet, but it could never substitute our calling to live out the faith and to represent the body of Christ. The Lord has been teaching the church to be more dependent on Him through prayer and perseverance, and to not forsake the fellowship of the saints, even if it’s through a digital platform. In times where the nation and the majority people calls for social distancing, and when working at home is becoming normalized, the sin of laziness begins to develop in all of us to when even our service to the Lord could become complacent. Let us use this opportunity to ready ourselves to give an answer for the hope that we have during this pandemic (1 Peter 3:15). We should not grieve and react as those who have no hope (1 Thess. 4:13). This is an opportunity to be a light like Paul and demonstrate our hope that, “To live is Christ, to die is gain” (Phil. 1:21).  And as we quarantine in submission and work and do ministry from home, let us work heartily as for the Lord and not for men, for it is the Lord whom we serve (Colossian 3:23-24). So as we wait for the quarantine to be lifted, we plan earnestly for the days we can meet again and preach the gospel without the overall fear of contamination.
